Walton is a former chairman of Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer. He held the role for 23 years after the death of his father and company founder, Sam Walton, in 1992. He’s also a co-owner of Walton Enterprises, the retailer’s biggest shareholder. Wal-Mart had revenue of $486 billion in the year to Jan. 31, 2017.
